You know what I hate? RPers who think they're too good for you. ELITISTS CAN SHOVE IT UP THEIR ARSES. Yep, you heard me. I'm so annoyed with people that think they're better than you or have some kind of 'beef' about you. If you can't tell me to my face (which really, it isn't even my face it's typing in an IM) then just drop it and grow up. People just me crazy. I've been rping too long to deal with childish things.

Let's get this straight: You don't have to touch my characters. You don't have to rp with me. Grow up and be civil.

Thank you for this public service announcement. :D Whoo. I feel bettah now. Other than that, I'm so thrilled I finally got the stitches out of my hand. Ridiculous incidents and ridiculous stitches need to go away because they blow. But yay for the holidays! Anyone going black friday shopping?

Books and whatnot. [29 Oct 2007|01:00pm]
I just got a couple of new books on the twenty-second of this month and I figured I'd write some mini reviews on the ones I've finished and little outlines of the ones I haven't started. Somehow it's easier to keep track of them this way especially since most of them are series. So, here we are.

Frankenstein: (Book One) Prodigal Son by Dean Koontz :: I really enjoyed the book but I'm a rather big fan of a lot of Koontz's work. I think it started out a little sluggish but it built momentum throughout it. The plot was built on the original Frankenstein book now showing the first monster he created 'Deucalion' finding his humanity while Victor, his creator, is only losing his as time goes on. The premise is great and the characters are believable. It makes you wonder how far someone will go to make the ideal society. I'll be buying the second in the series.

Uglies: (Book One) by Scott Westerfield :: Despite their appeal to younger fans I really did like the book. Again, I think in the beginning it was a little rocky as they tried to explain society as it was but as it moved along the adventure and drama propelled it into an easier setting. This book completely reminds me of The Giver mixed with teen angst drama. Tally, the main character, is likable and flawed which makes her more approachable. It builds quite easily to the next book in the series. I'll be buying the second in the series.

Tithe: A Modern Fairy Tale by Holly Black :: I have not read this one yet, but it's about a sixteen-year-old girl named Kaye who experiences some personal drama which lands her back in her home which she hasn't been to since her childhood. Somehow amidst a New Jersey backdrop she finds herself an unwilling pawn in an ancient power struggle with two faerie kingdoms. It's a dark sort of tale with some artsy writing such as, "sunset on the water looks like the sun slit his wrists in a bathroom'. It should be interesting. She has written others within the same genre in case I do happen to like this one.

Moon Called: Mercy Thompson (Book One) by Patricia Briggs :: Yes, I live far too deeply within the realm of fantasy. So this girl is named Mercy Thompson and she walks the grey line between vampires and werewolves. Uusually preferring not to take sides she gets caught up all things that go bump in the night and lands herself in a mess of trouble. Anyway, apparently this author is notorious for these books, taking a strong female character within a fantasy backdrop and creating a series about her. I'm hoping that it goes well so I'll have loads more series to read. We'll see.

More icons! So yesh, these are some icons I modified for Miss Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk). I will probably make more, should the opportunity arise to play her again. The pb used is Olivia Wilde.
